Acceptance is the willingness to embrace all aspect of something. Acceptance can be challenging, especially for people who have experienced traumatic events. These people often minimize or reject the impact of trauma. But through accepting the reality of both the past and presence and the impact on us we grow profoundly. We also benefit from being more accepting of all of who we are -our strengths and our weaknesses -and also all of who others are.
